Poet, Novelist, Journalist, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Member of the International Academies of “Spiritual Union of the Peoples’ of the World” and “Nature and Society”, 1941 Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia


Born 20th January, 1919, Yerevan.
Graduate of the Yerevan State University Department of Philology, also Moscow Gorki Institute of Literature. Her first work was published in the “Kantch” paper on 24th December 1933. Her first collection of poetry was printed in the “Oreri Het” in 1945. She has printed 60 collections, in Armenian, Russian and other languages, of which 40 were for children. Part of her rich heritance is her writings on the travels of the Diaspora. Her book “Pages from the Closed Drawer” springs from a first hand knowledge of the country’s common life.
