DJANIKYAN GRIGOR
Novelist, journalist, translator, 1973 member of the Writers’
Union of Armenia
Born December 5th, 1944, Khaskovo City (Bulgaria).
Graduate of the Gorki Literary Institute, the Yerevan Brusov University
of Foreign Languages and Linguistics, and the French language advanced
studies of the French Ministry of Culture and Politics in Paris. He has
worked in the literary press. He is now the head of the “Armenian
Soldier” newspaper. His reviews, short stories, journalistic articles
have been printed in the Armenian press and Armenian newspapers around
the world. They have also been translated into a number of languages (Russian,
French, Spanish, Latvian, Bulgarian and other languages). With the help
of Archbishop Mesrop Ashdjian, G. Djanikyan created a collection of works
called “Western Armenia”, periodically formed, translated,
edited and in separate book form in Eastern Armenian, Western Armenian,
and English he published the survivors memoirs and other documents. He
is a member of the Union of Journalists.
