Poet, Literary Critic, Dr of Philology, Professor, 1976 Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia


Born August 31st, 1940, Yerevan.
Graduate of the Yerevan State University Department of Philology, and completed his PhD at the Moscow Gorki Institute of International Literature. He is the manager of the Yerevan State University department of Literature and Literary Review. His poems have been printed periodically in English, French, Italian, Russian, Polish, German and a number of other languages. He is also the author of many literary and cultural articles and reviews. H. Edoyan compiled, edited and referenced the “Ancient Eastern Drama” Collection, which consists of Ancient Egyptian, Palestinian, Indian, Iranian, Chinese and Japanese poetry in its original and in translation.
