BAYANDOUR ANAHIT
Translator, 1970 Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia
Born February 15th, 1940, Yerevan.
Graduate of the Moscow Gorki Institute of Literature, Department of Translation
work.
She is the co-director of the Helsinki Civil Assembly of Armenian Committees.
She is involved in diplomacy, journalism and political survey.
From 1990-95 she was the deputy of the Armenian National Assembly, and
member of the Interior Relations Committee. In 1991 she formed and printed
in English the Collection of Armenian Writers, titled “The Hottest
Country”. She has translated a number of classical and modern Armenian
works into Russian.
