Born July 7th, 1927, Athens, Greece.
Graduate of a Greek Public School. The family repatriated to Armenia in 1946. He graduated from the Yerevan State University, Department of History, and completed his PhD under H. Orbeli. From 1957 to the present time he is working in the Institute of History. His 200 scientific articles in Armenian, Russian, Greek, French and English were published in two volumes by the Yerevan State University theological department, “Atjemian Publications”. His work “Byzantium Sources” is a sub-section of the “Foreign sources regarding Armenia and the Armenians”, printed by the National Scientific Academy of the Republic of Armenia. His series of translations of Armenian writers with footnotes and references was published with “Literary Monuments” and Yerevan State University publications.
