AVAGYAN ARTSROUN

Literary critic, Dr. of Philology, 2000 Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia

Born March 13th, 1942, Yerevan.
Graduate of the Yerevan State University Department of Philology, faculty of Journalism. He worked in the same department as an assistant of the Literature Department Council, and then as a lecturer. He is now the dean of the Armenian State University Department of Philology. For many years he worked as the secretary of the Philology Department Council, and is now chairman of this Council. He is the author of a number of literary articles, which have been printed in the national literary press. He has also written a series of books “Christianity and Armenian Literature” (2001), “Readings from Charents”, (2002), “Lectures dedicated to the 125 year anniversary of Vahan Tekeyan” (2004) and so on.
