Writer, poet, playwright, translator,
WUA member since 1991


Born in 1949, June 29, in Dzoreberd village, Lori Marz.
A graduate of Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute, the department of Physics and Mathematics. Worked in several newspapers as correspondent and a photographer. His children plays were staged in state theatres. V. Aryan translated and prepared to publish Latino selected poetry of the pre-Columbian period. His stories were translated into Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian. As a director and script writer he shot several short films in 'Hayfilm' studio. In 1994 he founded the 'Van Aryan' private publishing house which has published almost 400 pieces. The publishing house started several book series whithin which 'Armenian Contemporary Dramatic Art' is significant. 12 pieces of these book series are already published. Are ready to be published his collections of stories, poems, translations and children works.
