Trenslator, writer, publicist, WUA member since 1989
Born in 1952, January 1, Echmiadzin, Armavir Marz.
A graduate of Yerevan State University, the department of Russian Language
and Literarure. After his first year he continued his education at Moscow
Literature Institute after M. Gorki and graduated in 1979. Worked as a
translator and journalist at WUA 'Literaturnaya Armenia' magazine, 'Noyan
Tapan' and 'Armenpress' news agencies and at 'Respublika Armenii' newspaper.
At the moment he works in the CS Publishing House Ltd. as a translator
and editor.
N. Alexanyan's first translations were published in 'Literaturnaya Armenia'
magazine in 1976. He has translated works of Armenian and Diaspora contemporary
and classical writers, published by seperate editions in Armenia as well
as in Russia, France, Germany, Israel, Poland and elsewhere. He has translated
scientific and juridical text-books from Russian into Armenian. He has
a dozen of publicated articles in state press on publicity.
