Poet, translator, WUA member since 1982


Born in 1942, January 8, in the village of Garnhovit, Aragatsotni Marz.
A graduate of Yerevan State University, the department of History. Worked in the Museum of Armenian History, at Armenian Encyclopaedia, was the editor-in-chief of 'Armenia' publishing house (1991-94), and the editor-in-charge of 'Paykar' magazine (1995-99). Since 2003 he is the editor-in-chief of WUA publishings. His poems were being published in state literature press starting with 1976.

AWARDS

1. In 1997 was awarded the Teqeyan Cultural Union literature Prize for his book 'Heavy Cross'.
2. In 1992 he was awarded the WUA Prize after Stephen Zoryan for his book 'Nersik's Parrot'.
