ALEXANYAN HELENA
Literary Critic, Translator, 1969 Member of the Writers’ Union
of Armenia
Born December 18th, 1933, Yerevan.
Graduate of Yerevan State University Department of Philology, completed
her PhD Moscow International Institute of Literature. She works in the
National Scientific Academy of the Republic of Armenia, Abeghvan Institute
of literature, and is also dean of Russian Literature at the Bryusov Linguistics
University. Her literary interests are national ties with Russian, European
and International Literature. Her speciality is Brusov, Armenian-Russian
and Armenian-French Literary associations. She is the author of Russian
classic and modern literature critical works and many other critical works.
She has translated a number of Armenian classical and modern works into
Russian. (Avetik Isahakian, Axel Bakounts, Sero Khanzadyan, Pertch Zeytuntsyan,
Vardges Petrosyan.)
