Novelist, 1963 Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia


Born March 23rd, 1925, Akhaltskha (Georgia).
Studied at Tbilisi Academy of Arts, in the Tbilisi University, Department of Philology, and in Yerevan Institute of Aesthetics. His first short story was published in 1954, in the Yerevan “Vozni” journal. He has worked in the literary and cinema press, and was the chief editor of the “Hayutyun” paper. “Haifilm” has used his scripts in over fifteen films, and he himself has produced and directed 4 films. His works have been translated into Russian, Bulgarian, Czech, English, and other languages.
