Writer, playwright, Candidate of Philology, WUA member since 1966


Born in 1936, July 30, in Simferopol, Ukraine.
A graduate of Yerevan State University, the department of Philology. He worked at NAA Literature Institute after M. Abeghyan, was WUA secretary and the Editor-In-Chief of 'Grakan Tert' (in 1982-86 and since 2004). His genres are various: story, novel, short story, play, memorandum, literary critique and so on. His plays are staged in Yerevan Drama Theatre after Hr. Ghaplanyan. Some of his works were translated into Russian and other languages.

AWARDS

1. In 2002 he was awarded 'Vahagn' Armenian-Wide literary Prize for his drama 'Man and the Woman'.
2. In 1982 he was awarded the WUA Prize after D. Demirchyan for his 'Monologue Hours' collection.
