ABRAHAMYAN VLADIMIR
Poet, Translator, 1967 Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia
Born 1st May, 1930, Shamkhor region, Lernayin Jagir village, (Azerbaijan).
Studied in the Baku State Institute of Pedagogy, Department of Linguistics,
and at the same time worked in cooperation with the Baku “Communistic”.
He was also the chief editor of the “Azeri Literature” literary-aesthetic
journal. In 1988 he became a member of the directors of the Azeri Writers’
Union, and leader of the Armenian sector. In 1991 he moved to Armenia.
His poetry and translations have been printed in the Armenian and Azeri
press. He has translated S. Vurghoni, S. Roustam, M. Dilbazi, Vagif, Rahim
and many other poetical collections.
