Writers' Union of Armenia is a literary social organization, which has
386(in 2004) members, who live in Armenia and Artsakh. It also has Diaspora
members and Honoured members.
The Writers' Union works are ran by following electable bodies, directorate(52
members), presidential body, president and secretaries.
Writers' Union supreme body is the General Assembly, which is held once
a four year.
WUA president is elected for four years according to the decision of Assembly.
Writers Union of Armenia has regional departments in Shirak, Lori and
Tavush Marz.
WUA owns a holiday home in Tsaghkadzor and one in Sevan.
There are sections of prose, poetry, dramatic art, translation, literary
critique, children and youth literature.
WUA has its own publishing house and publications: magazines and newspapers.
WUA systematizes the Writers' Home, where literary conferences, assemblies,
literary evenings, presentations and press-conferences are being held.
